Samantha Stephenson has over 13 years’ experience in the public sector and started her career in planning working for Uttlesford District Council in Essex.
Starting as Landscape Assistant, progressing to Planning Technician and then becoming a Planning Officer where she dealt with a large and complex caseload including major planning applications, conservation projects, planning appeals, pre-application projects and assisting in the progression of an emerging local plan. In 2016 Sam joined Phase 2 Planning and Development Ltd as Senior Planner and in 2020 became a Principal Planner. In the Public Sector Sam has assisted in policy related matters and determined well over 1000 separate planning proposals of a wide range of size, type and complexity. In private consultancy Sam is building up her portfolio of planning projects and establishing new client relationships as she builds up her experience in the private sector. Sam has already been responsible for advising various clients on their initial proposals and her colleagues in their ongoing cases given her extensive Local Authority experience
