Affordable Housing Delivery
Acting initially for a speculative purchaser of a non-allocated greenfield site on the outskirts of the village of Chartham, the Practice was able to offer advice on potential development options. We identified an opportunity for working with an affordable housing provider to deliver both a beneficial development that met locally identified housing need, and secured an early resale and return on investment for the client.
Following pre-application discussion with the Local Planning Authority and consultation with the local community, including a local exhibition of the proposals, an application for planning permission was made and approval granted (including signing of the s106 agreement) within 3½ months.
The site has subsequently been constructed in accordance with the submitted scheme and occupied.
